         <title>Konstantin Orbelian </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Konstantin Orbelian was born on July 29, 1928 in Armavir. Musical talents have emerged in childhood. Parents sent a gifted little boy to a musical special school for talented children adjunct to Baku Conservatory. Unfortunately, he has little to learn. Since 1945, Orbelian is also trying to play in the field of songwriting and makes serious successes. The folk songs were recited for the orchestra and also created new melodies. One of the first works is "Lumberland". The art of the great Armenian composer Aram Khachatryan has become a guide to Orbelian's music world. In 1952, Orbelian left the Variety Orchestra and entered the Romanos Melikyan musical college, then the Yerevan State Conservatory. In 1955, the Armenian composer tried to force the music in another scene by writing the song "The Heart Sings", which was a great success. In 1956 Orbelian was invited to lead the Armenian Pop Orchestra. After a long time, she agrees to become a conductor and artistic director. From 1956 he has been leading the Armenian State Orchestra for about three and a half decades. Author of many songs for pop and jazz performers. Since 1992 he has been living in the United States. In 1957 Orbelyan became a member of the USSR Composers' Union. Orbelian was recognized the winner of the USSR Young Composers Contest held in Moscow in 1962.                Recognize her symphony and the "Immortality" ballet, which was staged in 1969 at the Spendiaryan Opera and Ballet Theater. They have been transformed into the laconic and rhythmic peculiarities of Armenian folk music, the achievements of contemporary symphonic music. Symphony works include "Monument" and "Jump to flight" choreographic images, "Holiday Prelude" and "Zangezur" poems. Written by "I Love You, You are My Moscow", "Yerevan Melody", "Requiem", "The Noise of Khechi", "Arevik", "Love Does not Aged" and others.<br>By: Astghik  Vardanyan</div>]]></description>

         <title>Ruben Haxverdyan</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Ruben Hakhverdyan was born in 1950 in Yerevan in the family of linguist, academician Levon Hakhverdyan and philologist, critic, translator Sona Ayunts. 1969-1974 he studied and graduated from the Yerevan Fine Arts and Theatre Institute. In 1971 he has got 2-months internship at the Moscow Satire Theatre in the class of Mark Jakharovi. 1968-1989 Hakhverdyan worked in the Armenian State Television Network , first as assistant director, later as a director. Hakhverdyan staged plays at Yerevan Sundukyan State Academic and at Hrachya Ghaplanyan Drama theaters. In 1989 Hakhverdyan left his job at television and acts as a free artist. Ruben Hakhverdyan is an author of a number of CDs (the first one, "Songs of Love and Hope", 1985, Paris). The best known songs are "Snow", "The Dogs" , "In the Nights of Yerevan". In 1996 he created "My Home on the Wheels" concert-performance, as well as children's songs. He has performed in France, United States, Yugoslavia, Italy, Lebanon, Germany, Czech Republic, Serbia, Iran, Syria, Lebanon.<br>By: Svetlana Suqiasyan</div>]]></description>

         <title>Vahram Sargsyan</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Vahram Sargsyan studied at the P. Tchaikovsky Musical College, at the Music Theory Faculty. He then studied composition with Ashot Zohrabyan at the Yerevan Komitas State Conservatory from 1998–2003, where he also studied conducting with Tigran Hekekyan from 2000–06 and where he has had post-graduate studies in composition again with Ashot Zohrabyan from 2005-2007. Currently he is working towards his master's degree in composition at Schulich School of Music, McGill University with Philippe Leroux.<br>Sargsyan's music has been performed in Armenia, UK, Germany, Austria, Belarus, Sweden, Lithuania, Latvia, Belgium, Russia, Greece, Poland, Italy, Japan, Canada, as well as in the United States. His composition Luis Zvart was performed at the 6th World Symposium on Choral Music (Minneapolis, Minnesota 2002). His arrangement of Khorurd Metz (Great Mystery) is included in the Oxford University Press anthology World Carols for Choirs (2005) and has been recorded by BBC Singers. It has been broadcast by BBC Radio 3.<br>He has had commissions from Oxford University Press (UK), A.R.CO.VA.(Italy), Boston Choral Ensemble (USA), Norddeutscher Rundfunk (Germany), AGBU Foundation (USA), CBC Radio and others. Sargsyan's work Hunting the Hunter was premiered[6] under his own baton in 2012 at Carnegie Hall.<br>Vahram Sargsyan's name has appeared in Who is Who in Choral Music since 2007. He is a member of Union of Composers and Musicologists of Armenia.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Spendiaryan was born on 1 November, 1871 in Kakhovka, province of Tavrik (modern Ukraine) in an Armenian family whose ancestry originated from Ani. His artistic abilities were formed in early childhood. He inherited his musical abilities from his mother who played piano. When Spendiaryan was seven he wrote a waltz. In 1890 he went to Moscow and studied for one year in the Natural Sciences faculty of Moscow University, and then in 1895 he graduated from the Law faculty. At the same time he continued his violin classes. In 1896 Spendiaryan went to St. Petersburg to show his compositions to Nikolai Rimsky Korsakovwho greatly admired his music and encouraged him to turn deeer into his people's folklore. From 1896 to 1900 he took private composition lessons with Rimsky Korsakov.          <description><![CDATA[<div>Edgar Manas Effendi April 12, 1875 in Constantinople – March 9, 1964 in Istanbul was a Turkish composer, conductor and musicologist of Armenian descent. He is one of the three co-authors of the Turkish National<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkish_National_Anthem"> </a>Anthem, as he made the arrangements for orchestra.<br> Edgar Manas was born on April 12, 1875 in Constantinople (now Istanbul). Artistically gifted young Edgar was sent to Italy at the age of 13 to attend the Murat-Raphaelian Armenian School to study commerce. While in Venice he also took piano lessons with Professor Trivellini. Upon graduating in 1894, he returned to his native city. Yet, his impulse to continue his music studies took him back to Italy, where he settled in Padua and worked with composer Luigi Bottazzo, focusing on harmony, counterpoint and fugue.<br>By:Arusyak  Mnatsakanyan</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Robert Amirxanyan is an Armenian composer and songwriter. Professor of Yerevan State Conservatory. In 1969 he graduated from the Composer department of Yerevan State Conservatory. From 1969 to 1972 Amirkhanyan was the musical editor of Armenian Radio. Since 1991 he is the head of the Union of Composers and Musicologists of Armenia. He is an author of many popular Armenian songs ("Hayreni yerkir", "Hayi achker", "Ding-dong") and soundtracks of films and animation cartoons.
