But she paused, took a deep breath (may have been screaming in her head:-)) and then dealt with the issue. This took SUCH control. I was always so impressed with it. Even thinking about it now I am like....."dang girl, you rock!" She handled behaviors with grace, reminded students of the expectation, and remained calm. One thing I was always impressed by (even as a parent when Hadley was in Kindergarten) was the amount of student work hanging up in the hallway. It was always recent work, and every child was represented. I still love to walk by and check these things out. She co-constructed the anchor chart with her kiddos and took all their W words, no matter what they threw out with a smile. She even drew Wario! It would have been easier to tell the kids she couldn't draw something or print out some clipart, but she tried her best for each word and they LOVED it. One of the authors, Kristina Mraz wrote an awesome book about anchor charts....I know this was something she was passionate about when it was mentioned in this book.
