         <description><![CDATA[<p>Both interactive simulations and instructional movies are useful technological resources for science education. However, the teaching method being employed determines how effective they are. Technology Comparison: Students can modify variables and observe real-time experiment changes with interactive simulations like PhET Interactive Simulations. Students actively investigate scientific ideas through virtual experiments with this technology, which fits in nicely with an inquiry-based learning method. For instance, students can manipulate mass and force to see how they affect acceleration during a session on Newton's Laws of Motion.Conversely, flipped classrooms and direct instruction are better suited for instructional films like those from YouTube's CrashCourse or Khan Academy. These movies are helpful for introducing or reinforcing topics since they include concise explanations, animations, and practical applications of scientific principles. The Benefits of Simulations for Inquiry-Based Learning<br>Videos work well for explanations, but pupils only watch them without participating. However, according to Wieman et al. (2008), simulations promote investigation, problem-solving, and a deeper comprehension of concepts. According to research, children learn better when they actively interact with the material rather than just passively absorbing it. Simulations are a great option for schools with limited resources since they enable experimenting in areas where access to real-world labs may be restricted. Limitations: Despite their advantages, simulations need dependable devices and internet, which might be problematic in schools with limited resources. Before students participate in simulations in a structured learning setting, videos can be used as a supplemental tool to present or reinforce concepts because they are easier to access. In conclusion, interactive simulations are superior to videos for an inquiry-based learning approach because they encourage scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and active learning. Nonetheless, a mix of both technologies might be the most effective strategy in classes with little access to digital resources.</p>]]></description>
