He is saying that he loves Juliet and he is showing here that their relationship means everything to him. He is also indirectly stating that he can't live his life without her. In the passage said by Juliet, we can see the approach Juliet takes after seeing Romeo dead. She decides to kill herself because she can't live without her lover. These two quotes relate to each other because they show the connection Romeo and Juliet have. These quotes also show the impact they are in each other's life. To them, love longs to be achieved even if it means in the afterlife. We think of love as something amazing, but for Romeo and Juliet, love was brutal and ruthless. Love can mean many things, therefore we can't describe it in one way, it means many different things to many different people.
