I entered the class with high hopes and dreams (represented by the pizza) only to discover that everything is on fire, but I'll try to stay strong and motivated because the community (friends and teacher) is very kind and supportive so I expect that the classes will be fun to learn literature in as well.

I am tired mentally and physically. There are so many readings and works need to be done for this subject. I did not expect this subject to be tougher than last semester, I thought it is going to be fun. I wonder if I can cope with all these stress and manage to complete all the tasks on time. (The gif below is from the series Orange is The New Black, it represents what I feel now.)

Although literature isn't really my thing..and I personally would never really learn literature on my own..BUT BUT I had to take it for the programme. However, lecturer is really nice, supportive, accommodating and friendly which makes the learning experience better for me. So..thank you Miss! :)

So, I'm already expecting my brain to work overload into digesting the artworks of past artists while Miss keeps encouraging us.

As the title, I am going to keep it original. I kick-started this semester with a positive mind but after going through the first week of classes, all the positive vibes have been trampled all over. But above all, it is interesting to learn the original works of many authors who have contributed to the history of literature. After all, this semester will not last forever therefore I’ve got to hustle harder (easier said than done lol) and learn as much as I can from Miss who makes literature fun to learn <3.

My expectation for this semester's literature class is just having what it should be? I guess?

I hope our class is able to perform in several ways, whether if it comes from the lecturer or students, we are able to pull the best part of ourselves and offering different ways when it comes to expressing certain literature but remaining our own style? LOLL. Just like every 007 movies, James Bond does not only have the capability to kill, but to be act/speak in a dapper way.

21 & 22 Jump Street

A lot of us are going to step into this new semester with fear and uncertainty(especially after knowing the amount of reading we need to do) but just like in the movie, we are going to come out of this victorious. Although there are going to be up and downs and some things might not go as smoothly or as plan, we are going to pass this subject, one way or another.
Plus, i am sure we are going to have so much fun and endless amount of laughter to carry us to the finish line. Stay positive guys and go watch the movie!

As we went through the lesson plans, I kinda felt stunned and lost haha. I realizes that we are expected to be more hands-on than the last semester with more readings and such. Although I really love challenges, this one seems really tough for me because I'm not really a fan of reading :(

But..with that being said and all the complicated thoughts going through my mind right now, I hope that everything will be okay haha. Jiayou and all the best to everyone <3

My expectations for this class is being able to learn about further literature but at the same time, I am lost about what is going on. I am very much similar to the young Simba in the movie who is always lost and not knowing what to do even after he grew up.
Hopefully, I can find my way with correct guidance and enough self-confidence to have the motivation to do well in this subject. Also hope to somehow survive this semester.

Alice in Wonderland

Due to the Covvid-19 pandemic, participation in online classes has become a suffering experience for me. Therefore, not only World Literature after 1660 but the other three subjects I am taking this semester are all like the movie, "Alice in Wonderland" to me. The reason I choose this movie to describe my experience in online learning is that this movie is the first and the only movie that makes me fall asleep in the cinema. Therefore, I hope that we will get to hear a lot of interesting stories from miss in this subject instead of getting hypnotized by the wordy slides.

Previously, when I took the World Lit before 1660, I was surprised by the amount of reading that I need to do because I'm not the type of person who enjoys reading when I'm not in the mood. Besides, I'm not good at writing, and thus, the previous exam left me traumatized. However, I'm still looking forward to learning about this subject with Miss Huda and our classmates. I chose this movie because the friendly and warming virtual class environment gave me joy and hopes in conquering this subject despite the difficulties that we need to brave through this subject. But, I'm still brain dead because it is still hard to ace this subject.

I guess with the ongoing pandemic & this whole online class routine... my mind is like everywhere simply bc I'm (we're all) having all classes at home almost everyday and all of our workload & interactions are online based instead of having physical F2F interactions with everyone.

I guess this gif/ snippet from Lilo & Stitch kinda describes how I feel sometimes... like it gets kinda annoying facing the laptop/ screen/ computer almost every other day. && especially seniors w flyin subs IYKYK... having flyin subs along with World Lit isn't as easy as I thought it'd be lol

But I'm sure if we got each other then it'll be easier to get through everything? So yea... PSA if you really need to talk to someone, just do it ok? Don't keep everything to yourself & give yourself too much stress!
