         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>Ableton is used for live performance&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Ability to introduce and remove certain musical aspects at any time&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Stays in time&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Session view consists of scenes and clips&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Arrange view works most similarly to logic and other types of DAWs&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Ableton is good for live performance because&nbsp;</p><ul><li><p>Non-linear in session view so you can turn clips on and off&nbsp;</p><ul><li><p>Spontaneity and improv&nbsp;</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Push controller for even more convenience&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Simple presses of buttons and easy to get used to&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p>Good for recording also because&nbsp;</p><ul><li><p>Arrangement view&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Can layer and record what you have created during the session view&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Only limitations for this session were that I have never used Ableton so it was difficult to navigate outside of the arrangement view because it was so unfamiliar&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Could use this for live performance&nbsp;</p><p>Helps with figuring when to introduce and remove certain instruments in my own arrangements without it being done in a particularly rigid manner ie chords first then drums then melody then singing every single time.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>Push controllers very suited for ableton because they're built specifically for it&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Easy to learn and well labelled&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Could use them for live performances&nbsp;&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Stays in time and you don't have to go through a laptop or scroll through a load of different tabs to find a certain instrument or loop that you had prepared&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Recording and playing is far simpler and everything remains in time&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Standalone means you don't need a laptop fullstop&nbsp;</p></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>Midi is information&nbsp;</p><ul><li><p>Music Instrument Digital Interface&nbsp;</p></li></ul></li><li><p>Can create your own midi loops which is good because it allows for more creative freedom than if I were to use a pre-existing loop&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>More similarities to logic where you can draw in notes but it is also very uniform but with an option to humanise&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Can randomise velocity also for a less robotic and rigid feel to the notes&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>More suited to my personal workflow because I often play a midi keyboard straight into a DAW track to create chord sequences and melodies and it is quite similar to doing that except I just have to draw in the notes&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Not so helpful without a midi keyboard if you don’t have a basic knowledge of where which notes on a piano are and what the different scales are&nbsp;&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Could use this to create my own loops more easily than in logic or another DAW&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>HOWEVER&nbsp;</p><ul><li><p>I don't tend to create loop-based music so Logic is significantly more suited to my own personal practice which is more linear&nbsp;</p></li></ul></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ul><li><p>Note mode is difficult if you are unaware of how the notes are laid out&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>It is easier to play drums on the push pad than it is to draw the notes into the clip&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Continuously loops for recording and automatically quantises notes you play&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Easy to switch between drum and note mode and select a different column&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Do not fully understand how the notes are laid out in note mode but it automatically puts notes into a scale so you can't play any "wrong" notes&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Being able to play the drums straight into the recording and be able to have it loop back to make sure the drums are where you want them was helpful because it meant that I didn't have to keep pressing record and deleting notes over and over again like in logic or other DAWs&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Would like to have a better understanding of note mode and just use different types of instruments&nbsp;</p></li><li><p>Could use this to more easily come up with drum beats for my music as drums are what I find most difficult in the creative process even though I find playing them quite simple.&nbsp;</p></li></ul>]]></description>
