Madame Losiel took the wrong course of action when they discovered the necklace was missing. They should have just told Madame Forestier the truth because then they would have found out that the necklace was only worth 500 francs. For example, in the text it says “‘you must write to your friend,’ he said, ‘tell her you have broken the clasp of her necklace and that you are having it mended. It will give us time to look some more.’” This proves that Madame Losiel was scared that Madame Forestier would be upset with her and that their friendship would have ended so they kept the missing necklace a secret. If they had told Madame Forestier, they would only have had to pay 500 francs, and wouldn’t have to waste 10 years of their lives.

Madame loisel and her husband did take the wrong path when they lost madame Forestier’s necklace. For example, the text states “ you must write to your friend, tell her you have broken the clasp of her necklace and that you are having it mended. It will give us time to look some more”. This is what led me to believe that they took the wrong path because many years later madame loisel found out that the necklace was only 500 francs and madame loisel and her husband paid 36thousand francs.

They did not chose the right decision when they found out the necklace was missing because replacing it wasn’t smart because they had to sell there house at the and of the day madame Loisel found out the hard life of doing chores 247 and cooking for ever and she finally realized that what she had before was perfect that is why I think madame Loisel and her husband chose the wrong choice to replace the necklace

Then she wouldn’t have spent 10 years paying off debt. In the text it said “Oh, my poor Mathidle! Mine was an imitation! It was only worth five hundred francs at most”. This shows that she wasted 10 years paying off debt for a necklace that was really worth five hundred francs

Madame Loisel and her husband made a poor decision when they didn’t tell the truth to Madame Forestier. I say this because they spent 10 years trying to pay of the real replacement necklace when if they had talked to her about it they only would have had to pay 400 francs which would have been a lot easier. In the text it states “And it has taken us 10 years to pay for it.” This shows how much money they had spent on it when the friend later explains it was an imitation and not worth much at all.

Madame Loisel and her husband did take the right course of action, when they discovered the necklace was missing because they saved up all their money so they can replace it with another necklace. In the text it states, “ At the end of ten years they had paid off everything, everything at usurer’s rates and with accumulation’s of compound of interest.” This shows that she saved up money just to replace the necklace because they felt bad that she lost her necklace. In the text it states, “ I brought you back another exactly like it. And it has taken us ten years to pay for it. It wasn’t easy for us, we had very little. But a last It is over, and I am very glad.” This shows that they were glad to pay back the necklace.

Madame Loisel and her husband took the wrong path. Once they foundout that the necklace was missing, they should have told Madame Foriester. Sometimes it is hard to be honest and it takes alot of courage to fess up to what you have done, but in the end, they will forgive you and it will not be as big of a deal if you didn’t tell the person. For instance, the necklace was a fake. Madame Loisel and her Husband could have saved alot of money if they had just told the truth.

I think that Madame Loisel and her husband didn’t choose the right thing to do, when they had discovered that the necklace was missing. I think this because if I had just lost a friends necklace I probably would have just asked the friend how much it cost her and then pay the money back to her over time, because why would you buy a necaksle that costed you 3,600 dollars or francs whatever you want to call it, to find out that the original necklace was way less than the fake one you got instead. On page 6 of the text the author writes “ Yes, I have had some hard times since I last saw you, and many miseries...... and all because of you!....... Me? How can that be? You remember that diamond necklace that you lent me to wear to the ministry party? Yes. Well? I lost it ...........(later in the text) Oh, my poor Mathilde! Mine was an imitation! It was worth five hundred francs at most!.......” This can show that if they told the truth in the first place, then they wouldn’t have had been in ten years worth of text. As you can see I think that Madame Loisel and her husband had made all of the wrong choices in the text.
