Normally Charlie and his family do not discus his Charlie's biological father. This is due to the fact that his biological father abused his mother and maybe even Charlie. After Mack and Charlie talk to the local sheriff about another incident, Mack tells Charlie that he does not have to end up like his father. Mack has this conversation with Charlie because he wants Charlie to know that he is going to work with Charlie to become a better person. They also discuss that it is ok to make mistakes as long as you try to make it better, or else it will turn you into a not so great person, like Charlie's biological father.

Mack was excited for the new car and then when it does he doesn't act excited because it was delivered at a bad time and he might have wanted to chase some rabbits.

I noticed that in the chapters that we've read so far that none of them REALLY talked about how Charlie's biological dad looks like. Other than the fact that he abused Charlie's mom and maybe even Charlie.thats we've noticed the author has said about him except for the fact that in this one at the end the author told us that Charlie's dad was sitting on his porch smoking, when he sees Charlie and cotton running threw the streets and runs into the shadows.the is supposed to sound scary and told us that the dad smokes,looks scary, and abused Charlie's , so his mom is a bad dude!
