He still strips men from their armor to build upon his ego. Contrasting to the Man in the Water because he did it because he wanted to help people.

Hector on the other hand, though in the beginning it seemed as though he was fighting for his people, it evolved into a fight for his ego and his title.

The man in the Water chose to make a noble choice and put his life before a strangers. However, Hector's actions of selfishness did not follow through with what his intentions were.

However, unlike the generous act of the Man in the Water, Hector did this for the attention he would get by people, rather than staying loyal to his army and family.
