This article details the unbelievable journey of a man named Norman Okello. He was taken by Kony to be a child soldier when he was only 12 years old. I learned about the psychological torture that child soldiers must endure. From immediately desensitizing them, to forcing them to believe in utter hopelessness apart from the "army," Joseph Kony totally brainwashes these children. I still have so many questions after reading this article. What lead Kony to have the idea to abduct children? What does he feel the need to fight for? How difficult must it be for these children to be reintrograted into society?
