The students were then told to make a boat. Students made boats and then tested them. Then they put pennies on top to see how strong their boat was. Students tested their designs and made adjustments as they experimented. Students concluded that their boat needed four walls to keep the water out. The students made the Class of 2016 posters that are seen in the other pictures as well. Students worked collaboratively to brainstorm which colors should be used and which supplies from the supply closet. They also worked together to share the letters, paint the posters, and put glue on the letters and numbers.
