I chose this piece because I felt it exemplified, fairly directly, how a cultural movement can filter into an art movement. Created as a response to reports of child abuse within the Catholic Church, Banksy sculpted a historically inspired bust, but with a pixelated face. It is meant to represent that although regarded with respect, the uncertainty caused by such a large scandal can cause one to feel apprehensive to historic or respected figures.
