This book takes place in the world we live in, but from a bear's perspective. Lusa, Kallik, Toklo, and Ujurak are on a quest to save the wilderness from human destruction. They stumble across an island wear white bears are sick and dying, Lusa made a promise to move the seals, that were making the bears sick, to a place where the seals will be healthy. Then, nobody would get sick from eating the seals. Read this book if they can save the island and all of the bears/other animals on it. Fire-paw who was once a house cat is now a warrior in the Thunder-clan and is helping defend his territory from the other clan cats. Now, one of the clans is missing and another clan is demanding more hunting grounds. For thunder-clan this means war.
