         <description><![CDATA[<div><em>In the World War there were lots of injuries, this led to a rapid improvement in techniques.</em><br><strong><em>First World War:<br></em></strong><em>Most injuries were mostly from many bullets and shell damage. Surgeons carried out over 11,000 plastic surgery operations, increasing their experience and learning from each other.<br></em><strong><em>Second World War:<br></em></strong><em>In the second world war there were the same injuries as the first world war but even more like burns cases in tanks and aeroplanes . Someone called Archibald Mclndoe alone carried out 4000 operations on burn cases.<br></em><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>There are great improvememts made in both the finding  of different kinds of cancers, as well as the treatment. <br><br></div><div><br></div><div>Some examples include:<br><br></div><ul><li>Digital Tomosynthesis: Used to detect breast cancer,it creates a 3D image of the area, providing more accurate Findings.Melanoma remains the most deadly form of skin cancer, but traditionally requires a biopsy which could come back negative.</li><li>Immunotherapy: Put in very simple terms,<a href="http://www.cancer.net/navigating-cancer-care/how-cancer-treated/immunotherapy-and-vaccines/understanding-immunotherapy"> </a>involves boosting a person’s immune system to fight cancer on their own, or with the help of other treatments. This idea isn’t new, but has  only recently,has become more known to us enough understanding  immune systems to safely take advantage of them.</li></ul>]]></description>

It's a very safe procedure that can be life-saving.<br>Some of the main reasons for needing a blood transfusion are:</div><ul><li>anaemia (lack of red blood cells) </li><li>conditions affecting red blood cells</li><li>types of cancer or cancer treatment that can affect blood cells </li><li>severe bleeding </li></ul><div><br>A blood transfusion can replace blood you've lost.However.Blood transfusions can only work if the patient an donor have the same type of blood </div>]]></description>

         <title>x rays</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>X-rays are radiation that can pass through the body.</div><div><br>As they pass through the body, the energy from X-rays is taken at different rates by different parts of the body. A detector on the other side of the body picks up the X-rays after they've passed through and turns them into an image.</div><div><br>Dense parts of your body that X-rays find it more difficult to pass through, such as bone, show up as clear white areas on the image. Softer parts that X-rays can pass through more easily, such as your heart and lungs, show up as darker areas.<br>X-rays are usually carried out in hospital X-ray departments by trained people called radiographers</div>]]></description>
