17「食」不只代表人們日常生活需求，同時代表有關食的工作，例如餐廳。針對「食」來構思政策從而有效推動香港達致可持續發展。我提議設立一個政策針對廚餘的數量徵收廚餘稅，比如就廚餘的數量來決定該餐廳需要交的廚餘稅多少。                                         帶來的好處：在社會方面 ，餐廳會因為廚餘稅，所以控制食物的分量，從中降低市民浪費食物的數量。政府減少了 處理廚餘的金錢，投放在其他方面的金錢自然會增加，例如醫療方面。                              在環境方面，廚餘減少，有助減少堆填區的負擔，以及減少市區餐廳的垃圾桶廚餘發出的氣味。                                     在經濟方面，可以令餐廳減少浪費食物，從而節省成本。除此之外，可以減少政府對廚餘處理廚餘的成本，例如減少運送廚餘到堆填區的成本，因為廚餘的數量少了。

在環境方面，短期而言，可減少運輸時排出的廢氣，減少空氣污染。
在經濟方面，短期而言，可以減少購買外地食材的經費，能發展社會。
