Dharma is law, obligation, and duty. Following someone's dharma means performing someone's duties and living in an honorable way.
Hinduism Dharma is considered the moral law and code of living. There is the dharma that applies to everyone, consisting of truthfulness, non-injury, and generosity. There is also the dharma to be followed according to someone's class, status, and their station in life. Dharma appoints the matter of Dharma-sutras, religious manuals which are the earliest source of Hindu law, and has gradually been extended into Dharma-shastra, which is a collection of ancient texts.
