The whole thing could have been an email, or at least held online. It was far too long and 90% of it was a waste of time in my opinion. Sorry to those who enjoyed it, but it was a waste of my time; I don't know about anyone else, but I have work to do.

I always feel so enthusiastic and energised from meeting up in person - although I will say that forced networking can be a little draining for us introvert types! Would be good to have 30 mins of it/or just one session instead of 2/3.. after lunch everyone seemed lethargic and keen to chat to who was on their table, or have a bit of quiet time. Thanks for a brilliant day!

The talks on individual clusters became a bit of a blur - shame the slideshows didn’t work too. Maybe just put talk stations around the room then people can find out for themselves by circulating?

I would have preferred some more time detailing the administrative side of getting a cluster approved and running one. Some slides and simple diagrams about what is involved would have helped a lot.

As a first-year it was really great to meet students in other years, from a cluster point of view but also to network and chat more generally. I personally liked the structure of the day in the morning, but it was very full on and once the cluster presentations had finished it was more difficult to work out what was happening. Maybe if it had been structured more like a fair with stands for each cluster in the afternoon and fewer tables instead? Morning - presentations, funding info; Afternoon - cluster fair. Not sure the intro activity was too relevant, although understand that there was a late start due to train issues. Finally, it would have been great to have info on how to start a cluster and what sort of things are appropriate ahead of the day - that way we could have prepared a bit better. Overall, I got what I expected out of the day and enjoyed the social aspect a lot, thank you!
