🕌Imam al-Ghazali (رحمه الله) said:

“Just as a body cannot stand without a spine, Islam cannot stand without its pillars.”

~In order to achieve Ihsan (excellence) in both dunya and akhirah, the basic of our religion, Islam has to be strong first, followed by iman (belief)

Adab in seeking knowledge🌼

-Wear clean and appropriate attire

-Refer to the knowledgeable person with appropriate titles

-Do not interrupt while someone is teaching

-Do not be afraid to say “I don’t know”

*Application:-five daily prayer

-observing the world's order

-Believe in the way Allah is described in Quran, Sunnah

~Belief in the Malaikah☁️-spiritual beings created by Allah to carry out his commands and fulfill various roles.

*Application:Remember that our actions are witnessed by the malaikah, making feel intimidated to do bad behaviour.

~Belief in Kutub🔑 -As source of guidance and wisdom for humanity.

*Study and follow the teaching of Al-Quran.

How to Implement beliefs from Al-Quran in life:

~Study and understand

~Integration into our daily life

~Practice the teachings of Al-Quran

~Share the teachings of Al-Quran with others

~Seek guidance from a more knowleadgable person

Why Al-Quran as dalil?

~It's linguistic beauty that cannot be imitated

~Numerous prophecies have been fulfilled

~It's consistency and unchanged teachings

~Scientific knowledge that's relevant for humans

~Challenges and rhetorical power , human cannot invent any other manuscripts like the Al-Quran

~Al-Quran lead our life because it provides guidance for all aspects of life

🪻Belief in Allah, Malaikah and Kutub is a central tenet of islamic faith

-Obedience toward the prophet also indicates our obedience towards Allah

-From prophecy, humanity will not be able to claim ignorance to the purpose of their creation and life after death when asked in the hereafter.

~Belief in Qada' and Qadar💡- Our life has been planned by Allah before we were even born.

-Everything that happen to us or what we do is because of Allah's Will

Benefit of Belief in Qada' & Qadar:

-Our concern will be focused on how to be a better person instead of the past or future

-Establish good manner

-It leads us to submit ourself to Allah

🪻True faith is not complete unless we believe that Allah's Will is total and all-embracing

~Belief in the Hereafter⏳ -The life of this world and of all that is in it will come to and end on an appointed day.

Effect:

-Demonstrates the greatness of Allah's names and attributes

-Increases the joy for meeting Allah in the hearts of the believers

-Establishes fear for Allah

-Supports a Muslim in 'chasing' good deeds

-The greatest assistance in renewing people's hopes during hardships

-Worship Allah as if you see him (for he always see you)

-Do good wholeheartedly, then you will get the Ihsan

-Ihsan requires an object, do good beyond the minimum requirement ex:when reading the Quran, don't just recite it but also understand the content.✅

-When Allah has demanded you to worship him, then worship only him (Allah's demand is as a whole)

-When you have Iman towards the judgement day, you wil do more servitude since you know the consequences of not doing so in the doom's day

-The only regretful people during the judgement day are the people who doesn't do much servitude🎭

THE JUDGEMENT DAY

Minor Signs:

-The coming of the last prophet

-Arabia becomes green🛤️

-Euphrates uncovering a mountain of gold⛰️

-The earth will spill it's hidden treasure

-Siege of Madeenah

Major Signs:

-Arrival of The Mahdi

-The emergence of Dajjal

-The appearance of Ya'juj Ma'juj

-The Dukhan smoke🌁

Akhlak: the qualities of ethic everyone should have inside their heart🌓

Adab with parents (taken from the story of prophet Ibrahim)🐚

-adress parents with respectful and affectionate title💐

-refrain from using any derogatory word that could hurt parents’ feelings

-refrain from belittling parents using the knowledge that we own🙅🏻 (prophet Ibrahim merely mention the prophetic knowledge tht was granted to him)

-don’t hold grudges towards parents🧑🏻‍⚖️ (in the story, even after his father got angry at him, threaten to stone him🪨 and even shoo him from the house, prophet Ibrahim didn’t give back the same behavior and backs away slowly, leaving his father)

I also got to know more sisters outside my course since one usrah group consists of students from multiple courses.🔍 This helped me to get out of my comfort zone and start talking to more people. Through this, I also learn the value of teamwork and communication skills.

📌Not to forget, our naqibah played a huge role in making our usrah sessions meaningful. I'm truly amazed by how easy it is for her to elaborate about a slide she was given and share her insights with us. The way she explained topics was always gentle yet impactful, making even complex Islamic concepts easy to understand.💨

All in all, usrah taught me that becoming a better Muslim is a continuous journey. We're not born perfect muslim, but Allah created us for a reason and that is to worship only him and find our way towards him and Islam throughout our journey on this earth until our last breath.🌬️

📍I would also suggest for every session to include a short slot where members get to share their weekly struggles or personal reflections🖌️. This could make the bond between us even stronger and allow us to support each other more.

📍Finally,I would love to see more variety in the topics covered, mainly topics that are closely related to us as students.📊 For example, mental health in Islam or seeking knowledge as an act of worship.🔗

*Set a right niyyah (set what to do because of Allah)

~Ikhlas (not for other reasons)

Why We Need to Be Humble🪷

🍃Humility is loved by Allah

~Allah loves those who are humble and dislikes arrogance.

🍃Humility raises a person’s status

~Being humble does not lower you—Allah elevates you because of it.♾️

🍃Arrogance can prevent entry into Paradise

~Even a small amount of arrogance is dangerous.

🍃Humility strengthens brotherhood and unity

~A humble person respects others and avoids looking down on them🫧

🍃The Prophet ﷺ himself was humble

~He is our best example, yet he lived modestly and never acted arrogantly.🌟

Washing certain body parts along with the intention

Conditions for The Wudu’ to be Valid🕯️:

-The person performing wudu’ must be a muslim 🧕🏻

-The person must be sane (not in a state of insanity/crazy)

-The person must reach puberty (baligh)🧔🏻

-The water used must be clean, and the body of the person is free from najis (impurity)💧

-Must have intention in the heart that the performance if wudu’ is for purification and worship to Allah SWT❣️

-The person is not in a state that requires ghusl (full body purification).🚿 Meaning, the person is free from major impurity such as haid/period🛑

Sunnah Acts in Ablution🕯️:

-Bismillah before starting the wudu’🤲🏻

-Gargle the water in the mouth 3 times

-Sniffing water into the nose (intinshaq) and blowing it out (istinfar) 3 times👃

-Wash the arm until above the elbow🦾

-Wiping the inside and outside of the ear once

-Avoid wasting water while performing wudu’❌

-It’s sunnah to do each part of wudu’ 2 or 3 times🩶

1. Ṣawm al-ʿĀm (General Fasting)

-Basic, obligatory level.🫧

-Abstaining from food, drink, and marital relations from dawn (fajr) to sunset (maghrib).

2.Ṣawm al-Khāṣ (Special Fasting)✨

• In addition to physical abstinence, one restrains:
  Eyes from looking at ḥarām👀

  Tongue from lying, gossip, foul speech

  Ears from listening to sin

  Hands and feet from wrongdoing

  
  

• Emphasizes moral discipline and self-control💪🏻

3.Ṣawm Khāṣṣ al-Khāṣ (The Fasting of the Elite)⚜️

-This is the highest spiritual level.

-Fasting of the heart and mind

• Guarding the heart from:
  Sinful thoughts❌

  Worldly obsessions

  Anything that distracts from Allah

  
  

• Complete focus on Allah, remembrance (dhikr), and sincerity

From our naqibah🧕🏻, I learned the value of patience, sincerity, and leading by example. Her guidance, reminders, and efforts in preparing each session showed me how knowledge should be shared with wisdom and compassion. 💝

Personally, this usrah helped me grow spiritually and become more mindful of my relationship with Allah🤎 I gained motivation to improve my ibadah, strengthen my character, and apply Islamic values in my daily life. Most importantly, I gained clarity that self-improvement is a continuous journey, and this usrah became one of the means that guided me towards istiqamah.❕

📍 I would also suggest rotating small roles among members, such as leading a short reflection🧠 or summarising the previous session. This could build confidence and help everyone feel more involved.

📍 Personally, I think having occasional outdoor🏞️ or casual usrah sessions could refresh the atmosphere and make the sessions more relaxed and enjoyable.💎
