In addition to teaching biology, I am deeply interested in the state of nature. I actively follow current topics about climate change, biodiversity and the well-being of ecosystems.

I strongly believe that education plays a key role in increasing environmental awareness. In my teaching, I try to combine scientific knowledge with practical experiences, and I encourage my students to think critically and take active action for the benefit of the environment. For my part, my goal is to raise a new generation that understands the value of nature and is ready to act to protect it.

My Name ist Sinikka Nieminen and I teach Swedish and German at our school. I'm interested in nature, and here in southwestern Finland we can enjoy an exceptional beautiful marine nature, eg. Bothnian Sea and the beach of Yyteri. An important value for me is the green and clean nature. The state of the seas here in Finland and all over the world is an essential part of it. I hope that also the future generations are able to experience that.

As a firm believer in the importance of global cooperation, I am particularly interested in fostering international partnerships to enhance young people's environmental awareness. Outside the classroom I enjoy spending time outdoors,, hiking in nature and watching nature documentaries. I am also the proud parent of a 2-year-old daughter, and passion for environmental education is fueled by the desire to leave a cleaner, more sustainable world for future generations.

Hello, I am a geography teacher at Bağlıca Anatolian High School in Ankara. I am trying to raise awareness of nature in my students. For this purpose, I am working by participating in panels, debates and Twinning projects at my school. We are a part of nature. We have to live in harmony with nature. If we do not live in harmony with nature, natural disasters will affect us very badly. With this project, I want to raise awareness of the importance of the water ecosystem in my students. I am very happy to take part in this project. I think that with my participation in this project, my students will increase their awareness of nature, develop their foreign language skills and increase their ability to use technology correctly.

By using the power of language and literature, I help our students develop their self-expression skills. As part of the project, I try to both increase their creative thinking capacities and introduce them to different cultures and approaches. While Deep Blue provides our students with environmental awareness, it also reveals the ability of language and literature to build a universal bridge.

As a teacher, seeing my students participate in the project and feeling the excitement in their eyes motivates me. In this process, I become not only a guide, but also a learning companion who accompanies their journey. I believe that taking part in this project has developed me both individually and professionally. I am proud to be a part of Deep Blue in order to renew our hopes for the future and to build a better world together.
