You: No, you've got it all wrong! Nothing can travel faster than light, not even gravity. The Earth would be affected 8.5 minutes after the sun disappeared because of the time it takes gravity to travel and reach it.

Isaac: That's absurd! Objects fall because they are pulled by the earth's gravity. You’re wrong, gravity is mass, and time and space are not related to the movement of objects. 

You: No.. first of all its spacetime. They are a united whole. Also, it is relative to the observer and dynamic. Gravity is not even mass, its energy. Those objects including the Earth are moving in a curved spacetime that is caused by its mass and energy. You're quite stubborn. 

Isaac: Oh please! Even if HYPOTHETICALLY what you're saying were to SOMEHOW be true, you still wouldn't have discovered it without MY research
