I was burnt out of exhaustion and fear that afternoon, and thought that maybe the people I love would survive without me. On the side of the balcony, I kept looking down at the floor, and "Would I survive?" was the immediate question in my head.

God was the one who held me back from ending my life. He did it by guiding my friends into helping me battle my own fears. Only two of my friends knew about that moment, and one of them sent me a hotline number for help.

Later on, I convinced myself to call the number, took a deep breath before anything else, then said everything I needed to say to the other line. Moments later, I went home, swallowing the fear and exhaustion along with me.

Back then, I thought that was just luck, but I realized that God knew me more than anyone else. I still thank him for that day.
