The Korean War- June 25, 1950- July 27, 1953

A war fought between north Korea and south Korea. The U.S. got involved, trying to prevent the spread of communism, but were not able to help much, causing anger among citizens in the U.S. After years of fighting, the war ended in a stalemate between north and south Korea.

a failed military landing operation on the southwestern coast of Cuba in 1961 by Cuban Democratic Revolutionary Front, consisting of Cuban exiles who opposed Fidel Castro's Cuban Revolution, clandestinely financed and directed by the U.S. government. the failed attempt by US-backed Cuban exiles to overthrow the government of Fidel Castro. President Eisenhower authorized the operation and it was subsequently approved by President Kennedy.
