         <description><![CDATA[<div>British tea was brought to america illegally after 1770. the British east India company had over 18 million pounds of unsold tea in 1772. the English thought that Americans would like cheap and legal tea. american colonial protesters kept the tea from being unloaded off the dartmouth.  king George III decided that British custom officials could take the tea off the ship by force. Samuel Adams knew that the tea would end up in stores. Americans would buy and pay taxes on tea. on December 2nd 1773 tea couldn't be unloaded in Boston harbor. on December 16 1773, Samuel Adams had a plan to sneak onto the tea ships and dump the tea into the water. the smashed 342 crates of tea and dumped it. other tea parties were held in  american cities after the Boston tea party. the tea part partys show that they didn't want to be ruled by England. the British king wanted to know that the colonies were united.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>November 1773 Dartmouth that was a English ship with English tea docked in Boston Harbor with British tea. American colonists protesters kept the tea from being unloaded. King George III would take the tea off the tea off of the Dartmouth by force. Samuel Adams knew that British tea would end up in stored and the American Colonists would end up paying for the tea tax. Adams also wanted the tea to go back to England. Adams sent a note to the Massachusetts governor Thomas Hutchinson to send the tea back to England. Thomas Hutchinson would not sent the tea back he was loyal to the king.<br><br>On December 16,1773, Adams and the Sons of Liberty planned to sneak onto the ships and dump all the British tea out in the ocean. Samuel Adams and the Sons of Liberty sneaked onto the ships at 6 o'clock. They were dressed like Indians. Then they locked the crew below deck. They smashed open 342 chests of British tea. They dumped all the tea into Boston harbor. When all the chests were empty they left. Next morning Adams sent men to crush any tea that had floated onto the beach. <br><br>King George III herd about the dumping he closed Boston Harbor. Till the colonists payed for all the tea. The kind sent 4000 British soldiers to the Harbor. He said to the soldiers stop ships from bringing Boston supplies. He plans to starve the Boston until they obeyed. Other colonies sent supplies to by land so the colonist wouldn't starve.<br><br>Other tea party's were held in other American city's after the Boston Tea Party. Many Americans did nit want to be ruled by England. That's the effect of  the Boston Tea Party. <br><br><br></div>]]></description>

They Dumped tea into the Boston Harbor. When King George III heard about the tea being dumped, he was very angry. He wanted the American colonists to pay for the tea that they had dumped and destroyed. He closed Boston Harbor and would not open it until the Americans paid for the tea. Other ¨tea parties¨ were held  in American cities after the Boston Tea Party. The tea parties showed that the Americans did not want to be ruled by England. They planned to sneak onto the tea ships and dump the British tea into the water. Adams and his men dressed up as Native Americans so they would not be recognized. Before they left to go to where the ships were docked, they shouted “Boston Harbor a tea-pot tonight.” They smashed open 342 chests of tea. Each chest weighed 260 pounds (118 kg). They dumped the tea into Boston Harbor. "Chapter 8". <br><br>When King George III heard about the tea being thrown away he was very mad. He wanted the American colonists to pay for the tea they destroyed.He closed Boston Harbor and would not open it until the Americans payed. The King sent 4,000 British soldiers to the Harbor. He told the soldiers to stop ships from bringing supplies to Boston. He planned to <strong>starve</strong> the Bostonians until they obeyed him. The British wanted to prove that they ruled the Americans colonies. Parliament passed the Boston Port Act in 1774. &nbsp; " Chapter 9"<br><br>Other “tea parties” were held in American cities after the Boston Tea Party. The tea parties showed that many Americans did not want to be ruled by England. Many Americans respected patriots like Samuel Adams.hey wanted to help the people of Boston when England closed Boston Harbor.
