When he says stuff like this a lot of his followers that trust him will believe this statement that is untrue. Donald Trump uses a lot of mind games to manipulate American citizens and this is an example of that.

In this article it talks about how social media is feeding confirmation bias. They talk about the election when Trump won and how on social media you hear more confirmation bias than dissent. And when you do hear dissent most people just block that person or think that it is just an anomaly. This is good example because most of the people that are between the ages of 13-35 have at least one social media account were they are able to see all of this information that is being spread around.

In this article it talks about how scientists don't like to speak out on some of this issues that are going on in our world. One of the reasons why is because if the scientists is wrong about what they say s happening and the general public finds out they were and finds out who the scientist is they could lash out at them. This relates to suppression by authority because the scientist are being paid to find out what is happening in their field of study and if they are afraid to publicize their information then they are doing a disservice and they are wasting money.

On this website there are some graphs and charts showing the amount of news that people are receiving from social media. When people are on their social media accounts they will follow whatever their interest are and so when they are following certain news accounts that news account will show a lot of their news from one side. So when people are only seeing these things from one side they will get a set of beliefs for a group of people or individual that my be good or bad. This relates to ideology support because the people that get a lot of their news from their social media are learning a new set of beliefs on a group of people or an individual if they are only following a certain kind of news account.

The problem that I think is the biggest with confirmation bias is social media. I feel this way because most if not all people over the ages of 13 have at least one social media account. When your on your social media account you will follow whatever peaks your interests. So when there is something going on in the world that a lot of people are talking about and you got to your social media account to see what everyone is saying you are only going to get one side of what is going on any only the opinions of that one side. If there was something that you say that was out of the norm from the rest of the posts you have seen and you don't like it or you think that this account is wrong because everyone else is saying one thing and this is saying another you are able to just unfollow or block that account. This relates to confirmation bias because when you are able to do this you are going to get confirmation bias to whatever side you are on for that topic/subject.
