~What are you wondering about? Does what you read make sense? What questions are you asking yourself as you read the book?~
I am wondering about the person who replied to Torey's story at the end of the book. Key points lead me to believe that it is Creed, but it could be someone messing with Torey (Pg. 245-246) What I read made complete sense because the book was a bit challenging, but it was not so complicated that I could barely read it. The questions that I asked myself where along the lines of, "Did Chris Creed end up with his aunts," (Ch. 19) or, most of the time I was questioning most of Torey's decisions.

~In what ways are you making connections to what you are reading?~
I am making connections to the reading because Torey gets caught up in between his friends, and a murder. I can relate because my friends can be a little dramatic, and I usually get stuck in the middle of it when I don't want to . (The first half of the book; it is present all the way through.)

~What conclusions are you drawing about the events in the book?~
The conclusion I can draw about the events in the book is that anyone can get caught up in something they know so little about. In this case, Torey gets caught up in Chris' disappearance as a potential suspect. (The whole book)

This is because I can imagine being lost in thought and when someone is talking to you, you can't hear them. (Pg.15)

~What are the main events in the story?~
In a boarding school named Rothborne, Steepleton, New Jersey's very own Torey Adams begins reading his own document called Creed.doc, which he wrote the previous year about the disappearance of Christopher Creed, the town weirdo. In the document, his old friend Ali and himself discover that Mrs. Creed is most likely to blame. Along with Ali's boyfriend Bo, Torey is blamed for the murder of Chris Creed. He then goes on some sort of witch hunt, contacts an Indian ghost, gets trapped by a boulder, finds a dead body, and convinces himself he is in hell; when he wakes up in the hospital, he can't eat because everything smells burnt and he has continuous nightmares. Torey has a myriad of responses to the document, and the final one is most likely from Chris Creed, who may go by the name of Victor Adams. (The whole book.)

~How does the main character change throughout the book?~
Torey changes throughout the book a couple times. The first change that is very noticable is in the start of the book, when Chris goes missing, he goes from the perfect, small-town "boy next door", to someone who can't help but think that he and everyone else at his school caused his disappearance beacuse of the large amounts of bullying. The last, the more unoticable change, is when he went on his "quest" to find Chris' body, he became this determined person, and actually became obsessed.

~What is the plot of the book?~
The plot of the book is, first, in the exposition, we learn about Torey in Rothborne when he reads the Creed.doc, and Creed's main backstory. In the rising action, we learn about Ali, the note, and how Mrs. Creed is out for Torey for revenge. At the climax, Renee accuses Bo and Torey of murdering Chris. In the falling action, Torey is in the hospital and he won't eat or sleep beacuse everything smelled burnt and he had terrible nightmares. The resolution is when Torey recieves many replies for the document, but the final one is suspected to be Chris Creed's response. (

~What is the author's specific writing style?~
The author's writing style is unique and different. At the beginning of the book, it was a very basic introduction, with some joking around; it was simple. The middle and end of the book got serious and quite morbid. The tone was humerous through most of the book, though it was deliberate almost all the time.

~What was your opinion about your book?~
My opinion about my book is that it was a great read, but it was a very real. I found it interesting that Torey got so caught up in someone elses case, and how he felt remorse for Chris because he was bullied. I also felt that it was depressing because of Mrs.Creed's reaction to Chris' disappearance.
