August 2013 - Rapid review of the safety and quality of care for acute adult patients in NHS Lanarkshire by Health Improvement Scotland (HIS). The NHSL approach to the management of clinical guidelines was highlighted as an area for improvement.

2015-2016 - An in-house database and website for clinical guidelines was developed - NHS Lanarkshire Clinical Guidelines and they both are still in operation.

September 2019 - Clinical guidelines strategy paper was prepared and submitted to CMT.

March 2020 - The first wave of the COVID-19 pandemic started and in response the Scottish Government and the Digital Health and Care Institute (DHI) enabled access to the Right Decision Service.

May 2020 - COVID-19 App was launched.

December 2020 - Systems Librarian was appointed.

May 2021 - NHSL Guidelines (mega-app) was launched.
