Sick till the weekend

Hey, My name is Peggy Ann McKay. I am 7 years old and have a very rare condition... I am sick during all the days of the week except the weekends! Oh, and sometimes there are exceptions, mostly on holidays...

The doctor says nothing is really wrong with me, but how can we trust him? I never knew him before after all. Actually, you might be confused: I´ll just explain my syndrome:

On Mondays, I have measles and the mumps, A gash, a rash and purple bumps. My mouth is wet, my throat is dry,

and I’m going blind in my right eye. Weird, right?

Well, it doesn´t finish there: Tuesday, it starts all again, but I add a couple of chickenpox, and tonsils as big as a rock! There is more to the mix, but I won´t say it all.

On and on it goes, all the week.

Thankfully, today is the weekend, and I am totally fine! Wait, tomorrow is Monday... Oh, look! Ahhh! My back is paralyzed, my fever is 104ºF, and my brain is shrinking to the size of a nut!

🤧🤒

What is poetry?
Poetry is a literature work to express ideas and emotions. In poetry, the words are chosen according to their beauty and sound and are carefully arrange. Poems are organized in stanzas (a group of sentences forming a part of a poem). I know that this is the definition of poetry because I do poems when I feel like expressing my feelings by literature. I maybe do it 1 time per week, when I have a very strong feeling. This feeling could be either sad or happy.

Poem 3 - Sick

- PEEL Paragraph
This poem is about a child who fakes sick to attempt to skip school. This is seen in the way the child uses unrealistic reasoning to convince their mother why they shouldn't go to school. Some of this unrealistic reasoning is the verse, "My ‘pendix pains each time it rains." which to me seems unrealistic, because pain shouldn't be affected by weather in this sort of way. In conclusion, this poem is made unrealistic on purpose in order to accurately replicate what a child would say and do when they're desperately trying to skip school.
