The man could take a grandma car/station wagon and turn it into some hot rod. Nonconformity is being different then the crowd and I think he demonstrates is the best in his artwork and builds. To me it's saying a man takes pride and joy in the work he has done himself. Although may not always turn out the best but the fact that he/she did it on their own is what makes them happy. I choose this picture here above of a tractor in a guys farm shop. He'd rather take his own time to tear apart a tractor and fix the problem then having a mechanics shop do it for him. Yes it may take him longer to do it but its the fact that when its done he can say he did it himself. He'll be driving it back and forth across the field smiling ear to ear remembering that he fixed it by himself. Self reliance is being able to do it on your own, your not waiting for somebody to do it for you or walk you through it. Kids need to go outside and experience nature. Theres so many beautiful things out there to enjoy that god has created for us to explore. The picture I choose to use for my example is Dike-New Hartfords very own Chelsea Slaba receiving a grant for her newest club Outdoor Science Club. She started this club to get kids outside and to enjoy nature. Things they have done our fishing, planted tress, and skiing. He was the joker or the class clown of the high school he attended. He'd do anything that he was told to do. He did what he what he felt was best not always what was right. I though this was the best example because these people go out into the wilderness to fight nature day in and day out to survive. They don't have tv's cellular devices and grocery stores. If they wanted to talk to somebody they drove over to their house and visited face to face. If they got hungry they can't drive to the nearest McDonald's, they had to go out and hunt for their own food. If they didn't shoot or trap anything they didn't eat. Times like these are much better then the city. They don't have all the drama and problems caused by social media simply because they don't have those.
