Mike Vaccaro was involved in community outreach and ensured compliance in policies and ethics. He handled urgent situations, served warrants, and made arrests. His in-depth reporting built a body of documentation of long-term value to the New Rochelle Police Department.

Accepting the position of special investigations detective in 2017, Mike Vaccaro completed assignments that required extended surveillance and observation. Securing crime scenes, he gathered and preserved evidence, interviewed victims and witnesses, and interrogated suspects. Mike Vaccaro maintained close communications with outside agencies, including the FBI, DEA, parole and probation, and state law enforcement agencies.
