Henri Fayol, a french engineer from the 1800s was also mentioned and the article explained how he played a huge role in the field of business. The three articles stress the idea of getting to know your workers and understanding their strengths and weaknesses. By doing this a good manager would aspire to help create improvements both in the work place and in them as people. The articles also summarize the idea of knowing when to use your authority vs also knowing to not abuse it. The articles I pinned all discussed how important it is for a manager to have good problem-solving skills and communication abilities. It is not only important for them to know how to solve problems, but it was stated that it is also important for them to be perceptive and locate underlying issues that can cause greater harm later if they go too long as undetected. Proper communication with coworkers is also important since managers are supposed to inform them of their duties.
