Closer to 50% of African Americans and Latinos dropped out, but only closer to 25% of whites dropped out. Both of these are percents that are too high and need to be addressed, but the average does not give a ton of information. It said males dropout because of gang-related violence or threats and females drop out because of pregnancy. Since most educational opportunities are given to white children when it comes to schooling, there is also no surprise that whites have the lowest dropout rate.
