Eckleberg appear in the text a few times, I felt this was the most empowering symbol in which represented the text the best. The platitudinous build-board which contained these giant blue speckled eyes appear to be leering at those in the Valley of Ashes. The judgement in T.J. Eckleberg looking down at this wasted society. For my creative portion, I chose to photograph a couple of objects that I though best represented this key symbol. For example, I did a blue eye shadow makeup look as well as wore ocular glasses to depict what the board looked like. Evidently found on page 26, "The eyes of Doctor T. J. Eckleburg are blue and gigantic—their retinas are one yard high. They look out of no face but, instead, from a pair of enormous yellow spectacles which pass over a nonexistent nose". This is meant to represent his eyes being perceived as God's and how he's looking down at society and how broken it is. I liked that T.J.
