Response: Information needs to be shared with staff and community stakeholders. The goal has been defined as ECHS needs to hit a 67% graduation rate for the class of '21. We need to address the needs of all student subgroups.

Response: El Camino needs to increase the graduation rate up to 67% on average over a two year period.

Patterns Identified

Response:The graduation rate for the 18-19 school year is an outlier. The previous year saw a graduation rate of 89%. The rates through the past 5 years have been in the 60-70% range.

Mental Models

Response: El Camino staff understands that the socio-emotional status and welfare of the whole-child is paramount to achieving academic success.

Artifacts

Response: NLMUSD has provided several professional development sessions based on SEL. The district has created a Virtual Calming room for students, staff, and parents to access at anytime. District has provided a Mental Health intern to support each site and Academic Counselor.

The team includes the entire staff through bi-weekly PLC meetings. SLT leads inform the staff and gather input during the meetings to help guide the site through the process.
