Below are the questions you should answer <strong>for each of your THREE chosen artifacts. </strong>If you need some help, check out the video for a tutorial on how your posts should look.</p><p><br/></p><p>Step 1: Choose an artifact &amp; snap a photo. </p><p><br/></p><p>Step 2: In your post, answer these three prompts:</p><p>  1) What does this artifact tell us about the tribe or person it came from?</p><p>  2) What does the artifact's label say? You can type it word for word OR take another photo. </p><p>  3) What does the label mean, in your own words?</p><p><br/></p><p>Step 3: Repeat this process for a total of THREE artifacts. At least ONE artifact must be a primary text source.          <description><![CDATA[<p>The artifact I am reviewing is the hide smoother. The plaque describes the smoother as “a rare piece” which means that it was probably highly valued and used. This relates to the Native American people because this was rock they used as an abrasive to smooth hides. This shows that they spent a lot of time on their craftsmanship and were very resourceful.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>This is a book of all the brands. There is no label but I think it is important because it showed who had what brand so that way they could identify who owned it. It reminds me of a phone book because it would show  their name where they were from and there branding. Like in a phone book it show you name and number. When moving cattle you would be able to find who cattle was your and not and what type of animal would have the brand.</p>]]></description>

This meant that they were taking land away from the Native American people. This artifact shows that true Arapahoe warriors struck back against their enemies and try very hard to win against them. This specific artifact actually symbolizes how the Arapahoe people celebrate November 29th as a holiday of honoring the warriors of their tribe who fought back and were courageous.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>This artifact tells us that Native American people should make their shoes out of very interesting things and materials. The shoes are also made up of beads which is significant because it shows people that Native Americans liked to decorate everything they had with beads. The label just says Arapahoe Moccasins which I guess are the name for shows in the Arapahoe culture. This label shows us that Arapahoe had a language translation name for every ordinary item which is important because of the fact that Native American shows were made up of the culture of Native Americans.</p>]]></description>
