There has always been a problem with PE classes having to relocate due to assemblies, book fairs, and music lessons.  Why would you make the new gym the auditorium as well? If you do that, you would be taking away teaching space for at least two classes, seeing that there are two pe teachers, but also limiting the availability for music to be able to practice for their assemblies.  In addition to the PE teachers using the upper gym, drama, school leadership, band, chorus, and the Clintonians use the space as well.  
The stage should remain in the existing upper gym so that all those other clubs can use it and it won't have an impact on the PE classes. Also, I do not see a note about adding a retracting partition in the new gym.  There will be two PE classes in that one space.  Almost every gym I've been in has a partition wall to divide the space.  What about the gym offices and equipment closets? I do not see anything on the blue print.  There should be lots of storage space.  Preferably two closets, one for our big equipment (gymnastic apparatuses, archery, portable baskets) and one for the everyday equipment.   Also, I only see one set of kids bathrooms in the new wing and nothing for adults. 


]]> 2020-03-11 19:18:19 UTC https://padlet.com/jcronk4_1/1wbnzq4i8fji/wish/458672913 DON'T TAKE AWAY THE FIELDS! https://padlet.com/jcronk4_1/1wbnzq4i8fji/wish/458684895 We need the fields to remain the same or at least as close to the same as possible.  Instead of doing a bus loop, which will take away a big section of property that is used on a daily basis for recess and for Physical Education classes, make a one-way-road.  Busses can enter through Silver Spring Road and exit onto Broad Street.  This would take up so much less usable space.  Also, the new playground should just be placed right on top of the floorprint of the old playground.  DO NOT TAKE AWAY THE FIELD! The field is used for so many events including FIELD DAYS, Grade Level Picnics, Gold Card events and for PHYSICAL EDUCATION CLASSES (especially when they are displaced).
