Sharing our cultural heritage helps to enrich the lives of other through the gift of discovering diversity. As we are living in fast phased twenty first century environment it is absolutely vital to make sure that the knowledge and the beauty of the intangible heritage passed onto future generations via digital libraries or other tangible digital tools.

The cultural heritage of each nation is a part of it's identity. The heritage circle scheme (S. Thurley, 2005) includes four elements: enjoying, understanding, valueing and caring.

The consistent use of these elements leads to the constant evolution of cultural values to this day. The digitization of processes in the modern world poses a significant challenge to the survival of cultural heritage, but a sensible and consistent approach to the evolution of culture will, I believe, not allow the cultural values of individual nations to disappear. And they will become resilient to the factors of world globalization.

Cultural heritage plays a big role in a existance of a country and a nation. Guadelupe, same as Litva and Croatia have a lot of intangible and tangible heritage which they are trying to preserve. From different kind of folk music, dances, national food to old artefacts and old cities our goal must be to keep them for the next generations

Our cultural heritage, in its broadest sense, is for people what the roots for the tree are. Without the roots, the tree will die. Without the knowledge and the sharing of their past, people can't stand on their own feet, because they have no roots. The connections of the community are lost and thus the community is weakened, leaving its members in the lurch in any form of exploitation. Therefore, the preservation of cultural heritage seems more than important for the prosperity of the community.
