I do agree with the Leandro v. State decision. No child should be left behind on education because the state didn't want to dish out the funds to do so. This ruling allows all children the right to a sound basic education. The ruling also stated no excuses or exceptions - this means that ALL children (disabled, ELL, low-income) get that right to an education.

I agree with the decision of the Court in Leandro v. State. Every child has the right to receive a sound basic education. The ruling was comprehensive and made sure no exceptions or excuses could be made and that the right applied to all children. Being from Vance County I found this case very interesting and applicable to lower wealth counties.

I agree with the decision from Leandro V. State. The big takeaway was that every student needed to have access to a sound basic education and that is so important. No matter what a families financial background is the children deserve to get the same education as everyone else. No exceptions and no excuses can be made with it comes to every student getting a sound education and I agree with that a hundred percent.

I fully support the Leandro v. State decision because no child should ever be denied opportunity or access to a basic education based on what type of family they were born into or where they live. I find it interesting that the state of North Carolina is still working to give every child their Leandro Right (sound basic education) 20+ years after the decision.

I agree with the Leandro v. State decision. All children regardless of wealth should receive equal access and equal opportunity to education, the same as any other child. I think the Leandro v. State decision does a great job at highlighting the importance that education should be freely available in ALL states as there are many low income regions that would benefit greatly. I in particularly liked the ruling of "no exceptions or excuses" as this pertains to all children despite any sort of disability.

I agree with the decisions that the Leandro v. State case made because it allowed all children that reside in North Carolina to receive a sound basic education and obligated the state of North Carolina to deliver every child’s Leandro right. This means that all students deserve the right to education just as anyone else. It also eliminates any possibility of discrimination towards any child of any background with no exceptions.

I agree because I believe that the amount of money or area that someone happened to be born into should have no effect on their access to basic education. Every single child deserves the same opportunities to learn. If a child is disadvantaged and requires more to learn the same things as others, then they should be provided with what they need to have sufficient abilities to be a successful adult in society.

I agree with the Leandro v. State decision. Every child should have access to sound basic education at the least. Denying Leandro V. State meant that students who were English learners, students of color, disables students, and more were responsible for succeeding in school whole other students have an upper hand. No child should be excluded from getting sound education because of the lack of funding.

Yes, I support the Leandro v. State decision. I agree with the court's finding that all children in North Carolina have a fundamental right to an adequate basic education - therefore it is the state's responsibility to provide all children with an education sufficient to prepare them for college, career and life in general.

I believe that funding plays a large part in determining the quality of education a student receives. Students attending schools with more resources tend to excel academically as these resources allow for the hiring of more qualified teachers, providing additional learning materials, and offering extracurricular activities.

I think the Leandro v. State decision is significant as it affirms the belief that education should not depend on where a child lives - regardless of his or her background, all children deserve access to a quality education experience.

With that sound basic education comes sufficient resources, principles, and teachers so those students can have an ample learning environment.
