One of the agricultural advancements in this time period was the heavy plow. Unlike the scratch plow, which was the type of plow used before the heavy plow, it could run through deep and heavy soils. There were three different parts to it that helped the heavy plow cut through the soil in many different directions. This saved time for the peasants because they didn't have to go over the land repeatedly. This also supported crop growth.

Due to the Commercial Revolution the increase of trade weakened feudalism because many more people had more resources and became wealthy. Also the growth of markets occurred due to the increase of cities. Since this happened more people started to specialize in certain jobs and get better pay. Due to the Black Plague about 25 million people died from the plague which shows that the population decreased. It also proves to us that there was no more Manor System with a high powered-man to pay the lower class. This declined the feudal system because many people were able to move out of there social status.
