During the Eight session, I gained knowledge on the utilization of body percussion, foley art, and sound effects in drama. Furthermore, I understood the significance of mime, shadows, puppetry, and storytelling in fostering creativity and self-expression. This newfound knowledge has altered my perception on the importance of integrating diverse forms of drama in early childhood education. In my future practice as an Early Childhood Educator, I intend to incorporate body percussion, foley art, and sound effects to enrich drama experiences and encourage creativity and self-expression in children. Moreover, I aim to incorporate mime, shadows, puppetry, and storytelling to promote self-expression and nurture the imaginative faculties of children

The first session of the course broadened my understanding of music beyond traditional associations with song and dance. It highlighted music's potential to convey emotions and ideas across cultures and languages, promote well-being, and establish a connection with nature. Incorporating music into early childhood education is essential for fostering cognitive, social, and emotional development.

Additionally, it highlighted contemporary Aboriginality in dance, utilizing traditional dance to address contemporary issues. As an Early Childhood Educator, I plan to incorporate movement and dance activities that enable children to explore their relationship with the environment and promote cultural awareness through traditional dance and music.

Session 3 revealed a new perspective on drama that surpassed my initial association with acting, play, and storytelling. Drama was presented as a form of storytelling with the power to elicit emotions and foster a connection with the audience. The session also highlighted the drama of place, which involves utilizing the environment to narrate a story and establish a sense of place. Additionally, the significance of being affected by place and utilizing sound to enrich the drama experience was emphasized. As an Early Childhood Educator, I plan to incorporate drama activities that enable children to narrate stories and establish a connection with the environment. I also aim to utilize sound to create a sense of place and enhance the drama experience.

Session 4 shed light on the benefits of playing with music and sound in early childhood education. It was established that such activities can enhance emotional experiences and well-being, foster creativity and imagination, and promote cognitive development. The arts and the brain have a close relationship, as artistic expression can activate various regions of the brain. Incorporating play with music and sound in early childhood education can offer children a more meaningful way to engage with their environment, promote holistic development, and provide creative expression opportunities. As an Early Childhood Educator, I plan to incorporate music and sound activities in my practice to foster holistic development and creativity..

Before session 5, connecting with place playing with music remined me of one of the previous sessions where we have done place though walk. However, after reflecting on the session, I realized that music, movement, and drama can be used to connect children with their environment and engage all eight sensory systems. Engaging all senses can promote children's well-being, learning, and creativity. In the future, I plan to incorporate music, movement, and drama activities that stimulate children's senses, allowing them to connect with their environment, express themselves, and develop social and emotional skills. I also aim to create a sensory-rich learning environment that reflects the local culture and context, promoting children's sense of belonging and identity. By incorporating these activities into my practice, I can create a more engaging and interactive learning environment for children and promote their overall development

Music always bought calmness in my mind and my importance of music has changed dramatically through these sessions. In session 6, I learned about the importance of connecting with place through movement and dance. The dance atelier provided an opportunity to explore movement and dance in a safe and creative environment. Additionally, I learned about the power of imaginary play with movement to enhance creativity and expression. This learning has changed my perspective on movement and dance, as I have come to understand its potential for promoting creativity and self-expression in early childhood education. In future ECE practice, I plan to incorporate movement and dance activities that allow children to connect with the environment and promote creativity and self-expression. I also aim to incorporate imaginary play with movement to enhance creativity and promote self-expression among children.
