Wiltmore high school, known for it's academics, known for their students being top of their class. What no one knows is the Wiltmore mystery. The construction of the school, made the town the pride jewel for education on this side of the west coast. The building modern, award winning even, but not once does what's referred to as 'the gate' make an appearance in any of the magazines the school was featured in.

Here lies my ticket to legacy, me, Frankie G., my last chance at redemption before graduation, my only reputation on campus being for costing the school a championship when I broke our star quarterbacks leg in a car accident.

No one will remember when I Frankie G., solve the town secret. The plan was simple, I'd hide out under the bleachers after school, and once the school was empty, it'd be me and the gate alone. The night had come, the air cool, the sky a steely gray. I had spent an hour with a pair of bolt cutters, and when I could finally make it through the doors I dropped to my knees at the scene. Not all mysteries need be solved, my obituary written the following week, I Frankie G., dead. Mystery likely to go unsolved, Frankie, the first to disappear behind the gate, and not the last to ever be found, his death falling silently on the town's ears.

Monthly fire drills, no stranger to schools nationwide, happening about once a month, this time not so much a drill. I only take partial credit for the events leading up to the fire, yet I am the only one riding in the squad car, oy vey. It started about a month before prom, I had known him since we were babies, and from the time we were about 12 we promised we'd take each other to senior prom, the theme was under the sea. I guess I see the irony, now.

A tale as old as time, boy and girl like each other, boy shows to prom not wearing the suit you helped him pick, boy is found hunched over different girl, and in a suit that matches her dress and not yours. You imagined leaving prom in a limo ride to the after-party but instead after slashing a few choice tires, you leave the prom in a squad car. Today you make parole, the night a memory you'll never escape, you find you past lover. You ask yourself, is he worth finding? You thought of him constantly on your time inside, but not once has he visited you.

Ivory towers among the first hundred public schools erected in the US, this one in particular meant for older children. The school separated by the girls and the boys, the city surrounding it in hysteria. Fear instilled in the town, the rumor as of late regarding witches in town.

Ivory Towers High also among the firsts to celebrate their sports teams with cheer. Events in this manner the one time where the division ceases, the town relishing the performances the girls from the team would put on. When girls from the team however had started disappearing was when eyebrows were raised. Tensions running high among the team when girls would drop like flies, it wasn't long until only 3 girls remained, accusations of the three of them being witches were of course already being spread like wildfire.

"AMY LYNN" was heard one day from one vent in particular, Amy among one of the girls no longer remaining. The days would go by, and it may have been the hysteria but the school was under full investigation mode. The vents seemed to whisper the names of the girls who were never to be seen again. When the town had had their fill, cheer was outlawed. The 3 remaining, were set to be burned at the stake. Later it was to be discovered the 'whispering vents', weren't really whispering at all, it was the boys from the team and the schools old building just carrying a delayed echoing effect.
