Foot traffic and orders on game day get affected positively or negatively.

Superstar moves show efficiency relative to the teams total market loss or gain (depending on if the trade was good or bad for your franchise) and equity, showing how one move can cause the team to redistribute resources based on if they gained or lost money/excitement from their fans

This would be more applicable to the MLB because there is no salary cap, and would be fair for the teams who lose out on all that revenue because their star player left

Better contract transparency can reduce financial risk and improve team planning, aiming to increase market efficiency with long-term league equity and sustainability.

This second graph shows why MLB pricing and demand are more elastic. A Tuesday afternoon game with the Brewers in Milwaukee typically draws in half a stadium full of fans and costs around $25, but a sunny Saturday Cubs game at Wrigley? Always packed, and prices can double. With 81 home games, the cost adjusts based on time, weather, opponent, and day of the week.
