Management Overview (Module 1)

Management is the process by which a person plans, organizes, and resolves conflicts. That person helps and hires employees in that business. In order to be a manager, you need to have technical skills, which means being able to work in any field of the business. Another skill you need to have is conceptual skills, which are being able to generate ideas creatively and imaginatively and being able to explain contexts and topics. The last skill you need to have is human skills, which are learning and communication. There are three roles in management. the upper management, and that is basically the CEO; the second middle management is the one who makes any changes needed. The last manager is the lower manager, and that is the team leader or shift manager. During a shift, if employees need help, they go to lower management. Management focuses on two important ones. The first thing is people, and the second thing is process; they go hand in hand. You can't have people in your business without process, and you can't have process without people. I use management almost every day. I like to organize my day and plan because it makes it easier for me to know what I will be doing that day, and when I have my day planned and organized, it makes me more relaxed and stress-free.

Social responsibility is an ethical theory in which individuals are accountable for fulfilling their civic duties, and the actions of an individual must benefit the whole of society. Today, when you enter a business, you will see a lot of different ethics and cultures. As a Muslim girl, when I enter a business and I see a Muslim girl there working, it makes me happy because it makes me feel like this business cares about other cultures and ethics and makes me feel welcome.

Normally, there is a lot in our warehouse, so when we want to start doing what is on our mind, you can get a little overstressed. You won't know where to start, so it won't be easy to process, so when you start to organize what is on your mind, the process becomes faster and easier. For me, I can do anything without making a list and organizing what I need to do, so after I finish with the list, the process of achieving what I need to do becomes easier.
