Survived the weekend in NYC, 30 weeks pregnant with 2 teenage girls in the pouring rain. Feeling like I can conquer the world today! :)

Martin Luther King Day

I took the time to read all of MLK Jr's Letter from a Birmingham Jail yesterday. Really worth the time and so relevant to what we are facing as a country today. It made me both sad and hopeful.

Ripping off the bandaid

A junior who has refused to do any sort of presentation her whole high school career just stood in front of her peers and presented like a pro. It must feel pretty incredible to have gotten over a hurdle three years in the making.

At the beginning of the semester, one of my classes would fight over who gets to present last. Today, they fought over who would share first.

After attending a few minutes of the Unified basketball game yesterday, I found myself smiling several times throughout the evening as I thought about the game. So good for the soul!
