Women and Girls Match Fund 2026 - Big Give are pleased to announce that applications for the Women and Girls Match Fund is open. If your charity is led by, for, and with women and girls, and meets the eligibility criteria, they would love to hear from you. Deadline: 5pm Friday 19th June.

New for 2026: They have expanded eligibility to better support smaller charities, recognising the ongoing funding pressures faced by organisations working with women and girls. Charities should have a minimum income of £5,000 and be applying for between £500 and £10,000 in match funding. VIVID Plus Community Investment Fund

Working with Action Hampshire, VIVID have just launched the Community Investment Fund through VIVID Plus, providing £100,000 in grant funding to support community led projects that make a positive impact in our neighbourhoods. Individuals and organisations are able to apply for up to £1,500 per project, with the funding used to help get new ideas get off the ground or to develop and enhance existing initiatives. To qualify, the project must be in an area where VIVID have enough homes to ensure that at least 30% of the people benefiting are their customers. If you’re not sure whether your target area meets this, you can email them and they’ll check: (Please note that VIVID is the main social housing landlord in Hart District). Projects must also be aligned with core VIVID Plus goals:

improving how people feel about where they live (in their homes and/or wider community)
improving how safe people feel where they live
improving community cohesion
reducing social isolation
reducing the stigma of social housing
to assist with tenancy sustainment and/or the cost of living
to improve health outcomes for our communities

Applications will remain open until all available funds have been allocated.

Farnham Battery Community Fund

Harmony Energy Income Limited (HEIL) is providing annual grants to support the local community around its Farnham Battery Storage project, committing £5,000 per year (minimum grant £500). Local groups are invited to apply for a grant by submitting project or community ideas. Projects should support or benefit the local area within a 10-kilometre radius of the site (for Hart this is: Ewshot, Crondall, Church Crookham, Crookham Village, Elvetham Heath, Dogmersfield and Fleet).

Superkind: new platform empowers children to make a difference

SuperKind is a free fundraising platform which aims to help children raise money for charities and good causes. To date, SuperKind has collected more than £1 million in donations. SuperKind enables children to campaign and raise money for charities and organisations close to their hearts. Thousands of UK school children have used the platform over the past two years with almost 500 schools and PTAs signing up to take part.

Bentley Motors – Advancing Life Chances National Fund

This new fund focuses on access, empowerment, quality of life and a better future. Core funding of £2,000 to £4,000. Open to groups with an income under £500k and you must be within 20 miles of one of their dealerships (for Hart this is the Ripley dealership - GU23 6HB - which covers most of the district). Priority groups include family and single-person households living in poverty; long term unemployed; people experiencing homelessness; people with disabilities and their support animals; racially minoritised groups/communities; refugees and asylum seekers; the elderly; young people facing disadvantage, including school or college pupils, those not in education or training, and young offenders. Thermal Imaging Hart Homes - Winter 26-27

Having visited just over 150 Hart homes (and a couple of community halls) over the past winter season, we are pleased to announce that Hart Voluntary Action will be offering thermal imaging visits to help Hart residents over the next winter season. If you would like our volunteers to come and visit your property between November 2026 and February 2027, then please complete the expression of interest form here, and someone from our team will get back in touch nearer the time to offer you a choice of appointment dates/times. After the success of The Hart Youth Achievement Awards over the last few years, Fleet Phoenix are excited to announce the 2026 Hart Youth Achievement Awards! These will once again celebrate the amazing work and successes of young people locally. With the help of a range of community partners, we are here to remind the community, and the young people themselves, about all the positive attributes they contribute to our area. Fleet Phoenix are asking for all members of the community to nominate those young people who need celebrating (note young people also must live or be educated in Hart District). Nominations are until 25 September, so there's plenty of time to add to your nominations as the year continues and our celebratory event will be in October. Each award category has 2 age ranges except for Group Achievement: Junior (school year 6 and under) - Senior (school year 7 up to 25 years old)

KEEP MOVING KEEP FIT CLASS VIA ZOOM
This is a fun and upbeat class that works to music to encourage a gentle cardiovascular workout.
The class starts with an easy-to-follow aerobic routine to prepare and warm the body. This is followed by more simple movements, accompanied by music, that will increase your heart rate with the goal of improving cardiovascular fitness.
Towards the end of the class we’ll include some exercises to help encourage muscular strength and endurance. You’ll finish with a lovely full body stretch.

Congratulations to Fleet Pond Society on their 50th Anniversary. Membership of the Society only costs £10 per household per year, providing a very important source of funds. That small £10 fee enables the Society to have the correct tools for their conservation tasks, run their website and provide a quarterly newsletter to their members. As a member, you may – or may not, like to help them look after the Fleet Pond open space. On Friday mornings volunteers carry out anything from litter picking to path and woodland management. It’s also a great social activity, working together around the beautiful Reserve. Everyone is welcome. Most importantly, through your membership you are contributing to the upkeep of this wonderful community asset.

The Friends of Basingsbourne Park in Fleet are running 4 evening Bat Walks over the summer months. All walks start at Basingbourne Pavilion. Please wear sturdy shoes and bring a torch. You will be shown how to use the bat detectors and what type of bats you are likely to find. Then there will be a walk around the park listening for bats and owls. Dear colleagues,
The recent changes to health boundaries mean that VCSE organisations which have been operating within the NE Hampshire area of the Frimley geography will now fall within the area covered by the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Integrated Care Board. With this shift, we have been welcoming organisations in the area to join the Hampshire & Isle of Wight VCSE Health and Social Care Alliance – HIVCA. HIVCA is the alliance that brings together voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations working across health and care in Hampshire & the Isle of Wight. Membership is free and open to all VCSE organisations delivering work that supports community health and wellbeing. Because of the significant system changes around us, HIVCA is currently undertaking a full governance review to shape how the alliance will operate in future. On 12 May, we are hosting an in-person event in Eastleigh for all HIVCA members where we will share the review’s findings and collectively agree the future structure of the alliance, so for organisations joining us from the Frimley area, now is an excellent time to become a member. Not only will this connect you into the wider Hampshire & Isle of Wight VCSE network, but it will also give you the opportunity to help shape the future model of HIVCA at this important moment. Artists or bands can apply for a grant of £5,000 to £15,000 to significantly develop their careers over the next two years. The PRS Momentum Music Fund is open to Artists/Bands at a crucial tipping point in their careers, demonstrating current progression and growth and with the potential to significantly develop over the next two years. Grants of £5,000 to £15,000 are available, with an average of around £10,000. Grants can cover:

Recording – i.e. a new album, EP, single, producer, engineer, mixer fees, studio hire, session musician fees, etc.
Touring (in the UK only) – i.e. travel, accommodation, musician fees, set/production design, tour management, equipment hire, etc.
Marketing and promotions – i.e. PR, radio plugger, digital marketing, music videos, merchandise production, etc.

Hart Eco Hub - free meeting space for community organisations

Please get in touch with us if you could make use of our Hart Eco Hub in Fleet for small group meetings/workshops etc. We are able to offer the space at times when the Hart Shopping Centre is open (8.15-19.45 - weekdays, 9.15-17.45 - Saturdays, 10.15-15.45 - Sundays), except for Tuesday mornings. The space is suitable for groups of up to 8-10 people, and there is access to a TV screen for presentations or videos, large whiteboard, and a small kitchen for making drinks. Shopping Centre toilets are just around the corner as is the lift and access to the car park. What do we ask for in return? Please make sure the Eco Hub is locked up securely and that it is clean and tidy, and that you have encouraged your attendees to have a look at our information displays on all things environmental (help yourself to leaflets too)! Loganair GreenSkies Community Fund

The GreenSkies Community Fund helps support small and medium-minded organisations that share the aim of a more sustainable future. Community groups, charities and not-for-profit businesses nationwide are eligible for a share in the fund. Applications are currently open and will close on 7 May 2026. Up to £30,000 worth of funding is available for community-based environmental project leaders nationwide to apply for support for their projects. The aim is to help the next community group or organisation achieve its environmental goals. The Community Fund has so far granted over £100,000 to organisations across the UK for projects like:

Barchester's Charitable Foundation is a small charity making a big difference in your local community to the lives of older people and other adults with a disability or mental health conditions. The Foundation helps individuals, small community groups and small local charities. They are open for group applications in January, April, July and October. They help groups with:

Activity projects
Equipment/materials for use by members
Transport costs to enable members to attend
Day trips, outings or UK group holidays

Aerobility - Virtual Aviation Experience

Join the Virtual Aviation Experience, a truly remarkable first-of-its-kind, free 3-part course designed for individuals aged 12 years or older with disabilities to learn the basics of flight and develop transferable skills. Access this amazing course from any laptop or desktop PC with internet connectivity and Microsoft Teams video and audio capabilities. Once you have been accepted onto the course you will be able to use our online portal to book weekday and/or weekend sessions. You will need to attend all three sessions. Each of the three sessions that make up the course consist of a 30-minute briefing followed by a 30-minute simulator flight using a Piper Cherokee Warrior aircraft (in Aerobility livery!) accessed remotely through an internet browser.
