J Cole, American rapper takes time to explain the reason he rather stay apart from the social norm. Cole then mentions how he began to evolve as a person. He explains that he recognized that he began to develop an subconscious addiction to alcohol. Being MINDFUL that this addiction (as well as social media) wouldn't a positive effect in his end goal, Cole decided to make improvements towards what had become intrusions in his everyday lifestyle.

Personally, I have followed the stories of individuals such as J. Cole, Jay-Z, even Gary Vee. The way I implement this outside of the classroom is by doing exactly what all of these guys have in common, Meditation. It gives the brain catch and process everything that may be taking place in my life and/or day. Taking 5-10 mins sometimes even an hour just to sit in silence or listen to music gives me a sense of relief. A chance to unwind.

At eleven years old, Bethany Hamilton lost one of her arms to a shark while surfing in Hawaii. In the video, she talks about how the event has impacted her life. She also speaks on how this has changed her outlook on life, and how she approached the challenge of continuing to surf at a professional level despite losing an arm. Many people would give up or accept that they will never be as good or even able to compete again. Bethany goes on to show that by having a growth mindset you are able to adapt and overcome challenges in life despite your disposition.

I intend on using Bethany as an example to model my own growth mindset after, especially with subjects that are more difficult for me. Even though I may have more trouble in math, perseverance and working hard will allow me to make it through and get a good grade regardless of my base skill or knowledge level.

References
Lewis Howes.

Thinking flexibility is vital to success in a variety of situations. It allows us to shift our thought processes to better suit the situation we find ourselves in. Even with every day life, thinking flexibility can help us by allowing us to see things in a multitude of ways. Without thinking flexibility, our view points would never change. The light bulb would not have been invented without seeing the same problem from different ways, and the same approach can be used against our challenges in college. -Garrett

One habit of mind the book talks about is persisting. Persisting is one of the most important habits because without it no true success can be achieved. If you fail at a task, you must pick yourself up and try again to find the right answer because if you don't you never will, and you will never learn. If you are trying to find out the answer to a math problem and you don't get it right the first time, you need to try again and use different methods. If you don't you will again never learn and fail that task. - Dimitri

References
Costa, A. L., & Kallick, B.

Elon Musk, owner of Tesla just recently dumped $1.5 billion into bitcoin. Doing this he is making it clear he is betting on bitcoin to succeed. He must have used metacognition subconsciously to analyze the current situation of the market and capitalize on it. To set himself up for success he used experience in market strategies and market analysis to put him ahead in the market of what will be the next big thing.

I will use this information to better myself in the classroom. I will make sure I am using metacognition to be aware of the current state of assignments I have and my grades. I will use that awareness to help me plan out when I should to assignments so I can get them done in a timely fashion while still doing the best I can.

References
Johnson, G., & Steel, A.

Jeff Bezos ,owner of the amazon company has been one of the most richest personals and successful business tycoons for over 3 years in a role and not only that, ever since he created and came up with the amazon company, he started been known as a billionaire. Jeff Bezos dint looked upon his wealth thinking because he has some change now it means he should relent his efforts no, he has been taken upon him self in defending his position has one of the richest tycoons through lots of hard , determination, new strategies and techniques in other to pursue him going only forward and to a more greater accomplishments and success . Despite the COVID19 pandemic amazon net sales kept on increasing as it increased to over 38 percent in 2020 and this kept boasting Jeff Bezos account to be more successful and rich too and today in the 21 century he is one of the first person to keep and defend his position as one of the richest person in the world for over 3 years in role with a current net wealth of over $190million.Am pretty much very sure that By Jeff Bezos having such a high level recording of success, he has worked on his growth mindset as he urge him self to remain focus and determine , seeing nothing as a an obstacles nor limitations not even the world traded Covid 19 pandemic could be an obstacles to him, each day each day, and time he works on his metacognition thinking and strategies in other to plan well and managed such a scale of business, and for him to be this successful he has used his is using the growth mindset and metacognition very high magnificent and efficient level in other to achieve success. he even came up with a new business delivery strategy which is know as the Supreme, and their main goal is to deliver customer goods for just 2 days despite the high demands and orders of goods they receive by their customers and today its been known cause of his words with proves and hard work , that entails lot of hard work and determination to be able to come with such a mindset and techniques in other to be successful.

I seriously intend using Jeff Bezos as an example in other for me achieve success both in and out of the classroom, in other to develop my own growth mindset especially from the fixed mindset especially by taken advantages over situations despite good or bad and try to make something good of my own rather than remain defeated and see no reasons to continue with the hard work and remaining focus. As he is currently using the Covid 19 pandemic as a motivation for him to redouble his efforts in other to succeed and not to be defeated ,he dint relate to the Covid 19 as an obstacles but rather a motivations and that is way ward a growth mind set, seeing everything as challenges to success and not the other way round. Now with relation to my classwork , I believe as a college student if am able to develop and constitute a growth mindset to remain focus and accept challenges as a means to acquire success then I should be rest assure that my grades will speak for me as my results for my relent lent efforts.
