NAEA institutional membership does not cover multiple persons. Only one contact can represent an Institutional membership. The dues for Institutional are more expensive than Active Professional membership because Institutional membership comes with two copies of each of the publications (Art Education Journal, NAEA News, and Studies in Art Education).

Institutional membership is also the only membership category that allows for membership transfer. For example, let's say you were the main contact for the membership and left the organization. They could then change the contact to another person to receive the benefits at the organization. The other five categories of membership (Active Professional, Associate, First year professional, Preservice, and Retired) do not come with that option.

PAELC is moving forward to plan a second advocacy day but would like to have more representation from each discipline

PAELC will be putting together another PASAS presentation

Advocacy Day and spinning off of this would be a great place to start student advocacy mentorships.... possibly begin with higher education so that there are more visual art bodies represented at future advocacy days

Bridging the gap of the Digital Divide:

What are the needs?

Are we addressing cyber programs, charter schools or private?

Are we addressing digital use in the classroom

Can we use modules built in google classroom for act 48 hours similar to the modulars used in the art of ed.

2) Mentorship program is cool - how do we build this? Can we piggy-back off of the work the Fellow do?

5) In-person YAM is a big ask. Would like to hear others' thoughts on this.

8) We continue to talk about funding sources. We still have not added a donate button on the website.

9) I really think we should partner with AEC for curriculum work. They are AMAZING.

11) What does becoming "more politically active" mean?

• Are we sending out emails (ideally from the Board President) in advance of the conference with what positions are available on the board / soliciting applications? I remember how difficult it was to have my questions answered about how to join the board. I might hear about a position coming available, but had no way to go about applying for it. It seemed like it was all in "who you knew." Then, I would attend the conference and filled positions would be announced at the General Membership meeting.

• Do we / could we have more than one General Membership meeting where these topics could be more easily accessible to those of us not already on the board?

• Would someone be interested in creating a WebinArt or conference presentation about "How to Join the Board?"

• What is the status of the "repository" of schools, non-profits, arts organizations in Pennsylvania Robb Bomboy mentioned / being developed at a previous board meeting? Where does this document live? Who can add to it? I'm asking because I could help by adding to it from my little rural corner of the state. This could help us reach out to non-members.
