This quote stood out to me as it goes to prove how as long as someone seems confident enough, they are easily able to convince others their ideas are correct. 

A question I was thinking about is how can we limit the access of technology so that it is not wrongly used to influence others? This reminds me of censorship and not allowing others to voice their opinions. It is especially tricky online because we do not all have the same beliefs, yet all want to express our thoughts.

During the design process my group encountered a few difficulties with the project and with each other and was discouraged. I feel that there should be a better way at handling disruptive students rather than just keeping them away from school, because it won’t solve the issue at all. From birth I took part in Pride Parades with my mother... this went on to a career in social justice and political activism. One of my most memorable marches was the Families Belong Together march in June of 2018 in Nogales, AZ. The march was a demonstration against the separation of families at the Border and in US detention/holding facilities. The march brought together families, social activists, political activists, clergy, and many other groups. We ended up blocking the DiConcini Port of Entry in Nogales for over 2 hours as we presented our demands to local decision-makers and national press. This struck me because this simple statement demonstrates pure injustice. If if it was any boy killed it would still be alarming but the detail that is was a black boy points to potential racism. One time I took action was when I was in leadership class. A month prior to Christmas we had been collecting toy donations as a school then when the time came, we went to our sister school to give the gifts to all the students there. We spent the day with the younger children and also gave them milk and cookies along with their gifts. One question I have is: What is the best way to work towards overall equality? One connection I made to previous class material is the idea of story-telling and autobiographies. Although the circumstances of this situation are unfair, a story can we told and shifted to be used in a positive way. One movement I personally care about is Kids Against Hunger. This is an organization that my family has supported for as long as I can remember.

The engagement social media brings and the way it acts as a megaphone for those looking to be heard and in the social movements such as BLM and other movement/ protests it seemed like social media gave everyone a realistic view on what was going on in the world and where, providing new perspectives for individuals wishing to connect to others in support of making change somehow where it is needed.
