This is not just bad television in the sense that it's mediocre, pointless, puerile even. It's bad because it's damaging." Discuss how far you believe his assessment to be justified.<br><br>Against<br>Reality shows are some of the most watched shows on tv<br>makes peoples careers eg X factor&nbsp;<br>Relaxing, and spend time with family<br>family viewing&nbsp;<br><br>For<br>Artificial&nbsp;<br>some programmes produce a bad image and bad role models<br>Modern day freak shows- humiliating people purely for entertainment<br>Not educational&nbsp;<br><br>to an extent reality shows are harmful and unnecessary, especially for younger viewers however it cannot be disputed that they are some of the most popular programmes and are a big influence in every day life.&nbsp;<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>In time of austerity then people often look to non-essential departments in order to make savings. Art is often described as a pillar stone of society separating us from the animals yet its importance is coming in to question compared to the more essential public services such as the NHS and education. In this essay I shall determine the value of government involvement in the arts and the need for a department to deal with such matters.&nbsp;<br><br>Reason’s against government art department:<br><br></div><div>Money better spent on essential public services e.g. NHS<br>&nbsp;Art has not saved lives, or built anything useful it exists for no reason bar itself&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;Art and sport will thrive without government support<br><br></div><div>Reasons for art and sport:<br>&nbsp;<br>&nbsp;The government put on the Olympics bringing people together of all races and religions promoting world peace<br>&nbsp;Art inspires people through times of hardship<br>&nbsp;Art and sport provides joy and happiness to millions<br>&nbsp;Investing in sport will help fights obesity saving the NHS money in the future&nbsp;</div><div><br><br><br></div>]]></description>
