         <description><![CDATA[<p><strong>Pablo</strong> – I chose Pablo for his positivity which will be a crucial asset to the project. Since I tend to focus on identifying problems and areas for improvement, I sometimes overlook the great work the team is doing. Positive outlook will help us celebrate successes along the way and keep morale high, ensuring we stay motivated as we work through challenges.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Andrew</strong> – I chose Andrew because he is an activator and will be good at getting things moving. I tend to focus on analyzing things, which can slow us down at times. Andrew’s ability to push for action will make sure we do not get stuck and can stay on track with our goals.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Emily</strong> – I think Emily would be a great fit for this project because of her ability to understand what others are feeling. While I tend to focus on analyzing and making decisions, Emily can help make sure everyone on the team feels heard and understood. Empathy  will be important for maintaining strong communication and keeping the group connected, especially when things get stressful.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Amelia</strong> - I chose Amelia for her adaptability because I know she will be able to handle changes or unexpected challenges that come up. Since I tend to plan and think things through carefully, having someone who can adjust quickly will help balance the team. When things do not go according to plan, she can keep things moving smoothly, which will make sure the team stays on track even when we have to shift direction.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Sheila</strong> - I chose Sheila for her strategic thinking because she has a natural ability to see the bigger picture and identify the best path forward. Sheila can help pinpoint the most effective solutions quickly and keep us focused on the overall goal.          <description><![CDATA[<p>Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) is a treatment that uses magnetic fields to stimulate brain nerve cells, aiming to alleviate symptoms of major depression. TMS is considered noninvasive and is typically reserved for individuals whose depression has not improved with other treatments (Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research, 2023).</p><p><br></p><p>Recent advancements in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) highlight its growing significance in mental health treatment. In 2024, the FDA approved NeuroStar TMS therapy for adolescents aged 15 to 21 as an adjunct treatment for major depressive disorder (MDD). This provides a new, non-invasive option for treating young people, which is especially important as adolescent depression rates have surged (Neuronetics, 2024).</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Additionally, research on accelerated TMS protocols, such as Stanford’s accelerated intelligent neuromodulation therapy (SAINT), shows promising results, with remission rates of up to 80% for severe depression (Erickson, 2021).</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Ongoing studies are also exploring the use of TMS for conditions beyond depression, including anxiety, PTSD, and chronic pain. These advancements could expand the therapeutic reach of TMS, making it a versatile tool in psychiatric care (Psychology Today, 2022).</p>]]></description>

Its non-invasive nature makes it less risky and more appealing compared to procedures like electroconvulsive therapy (ECT), and it also has minimal side effects, which makes it easier for patients to undergo. What stands out the most is its effectiveness for treatment-resistant depression, offering hope to individuals who otherwise may feel stuck in their treatment journey. With its ability to provide relief without the need for drugs or invasive measures, I believe TMS should be more widely utilized.</p>]]></description>
