Why is it there? Why do differences in life expectancy, birth rate, and dependency load exist between countries?

Because there are differences in environments and foods consumed in those places, as well as different living conditions, customs, genetics and other factors that may affect life expectancy, birth rates, and their dependency load. There are also more people in some places than others which can severely affect things like the life expectancy of the area, the birth rates, and the dependency load.

Why do we care? Why is it important or useful to look at this information now and in the future? Why is it important to understand that there are differences between birth rate and life expectancies between countries?

It is important because we can study what is happening in different countries and apply that knowledge elsewhere (i.g. Malaysia has a very high life expectancy, so we can study what they do there to live longer). This information could be useful for future generations to understand how we lived and acted in our times.
